THE COMPREHENSIVE DENTAL REFORM ACT of 2012
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has developed a comprehensive bill to improve access to oral health services. New Access Points include: "Authorizes new funding for mobile and portable services and outreach in rural communities". For a brief summary of the bill, Click Here.

On June 7th, Senator Sanders and co-author Representative Elijah Cummings (D-MD) held a press conference in Washington, DC to introduce the bill. Representing MHCA at the meeting was Richard Gesker, DMD, (Chief Dental Officer, Mary’s Center for Maternal & Child Care, March of Dimes Mama & Baby Bus, Washington, DC). Richard is a Co-Chair of the MHCA 2012 Annual Forum (Sept 22-25 in Charlotte, NC).
