Mobile Health Providers Coalition (MHPC) of Chicago
The MHPC is pleased to serve as a Healthcare Partner of
Mobile Health Clinics Network
Who We Are
The Mobile Health Providers Coalition (MHPC) of Chicago is a growing network of organizations, all of which provide health, social service, and/or dental education and care via mobile medical clinics in Chicago and the surrounding areas. On a quarterly basis, we gather to share information and network with one another. The discussion is always lively and runs the gamut from generators to costs per patient and much more, but we always end up helping each other and learning an immense amount from one another. In addition to sharing information and networking to improve each individual organization's operations, additional objectives include:
Coordinating with one another to avoid duplication of services and to promote referral amongst members.
Increasing communication with outside stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of mobile health entities.

2007 Joint Project: Disaster Preparedness in Chicago
As a joint project, the MHPC would like to offer our mobile clinics to the City of Chicago's disaster preparedness efforts. This unique and cutting edge collaboration will be beneficial to the people of Chicago in the event of a disaster.
Program Plan:
- Research current city-wide disaster preparedness plans within the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) and the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH).
- Draft mobile clinic component and receive input from MHPC and relevant City body to ensure satisfaction of all involved.
- Finalize and incorporate mobile clinic component into existing plans.
- Seek additional funding with which to purchase all necessary supplies and equipment called for in the mobile component of the plan and for training and drills to prepare staff for such an event.
